And visiting Crimean friends, it is not possible to hide from Russian socio-political life. They suddenly call you in mid -Saturday with one of the radio stations. You do not pick up the phone, because I do not want to interrupt the conversation with friends and spend money on roaming. A minute later they call from one newspaper. You can’t pick up the phone again, but it becomes anxious. A minute later they call from the information agency. “Apparently, war,” a natural thought appears. Therefore, the agency was lucky, I take the phone.
It turns out that Iraq has repeatedly broken a signed weapon deal with Russia for $ 4.2 billion. They want a comment from me. I do not like to curse the hated pindos, but here I have nowhere to go, I have to. Because other reasons, except for their machinations, are not visible.
Upon returning to Moscow, you will find out that the Minister of Defense of Iraq has denied a report on the termination of the transaction. And that the message came from the France Press agency. It is immediately recalled that during the time of Saddam Hussein, France confidently ranked second after the USSR in terms of weapons supply to Iraq. Why not assume that she is now jealous? In addition, it turns out that the report on the termination of the transaction said that the reason for this was corruption. And here a natural idea already appears that if we are talking about a contract between Russia and an Arab country (no matter which one), with corruption, everything can really be excellent on both sides.
At the same time, the versions are manifested that the provocation with “termination” was organized by fraternal Ukraine, which in the past two years has entered the Iraqi weapon market very well and did not want to see competitors. Or that the author of the provocation is the president of Iraq Talabani, the Kurd by nationality, who is faithfully on guard of the ideas of Kurdish independence and is completely unwilling to strengthen the Iraq Armed Forces.
But late – Pindos has already cursed everyone. Well, this is their bitter Pindos fate.
