79.4% of the inhabitants of Yerevan periodically use public transport, 13.7% use it very rarely, and 7.2% of Yerevans do not use it at all. This is evidenced by the research of the Armenian-European Center for Economic Policy and Legal Consultation (Aeplac). According to the source, 80.2% of the residents of the capital are most used by minibus taxi services. Buses use 11.2% of respondents, metro – 5.6%, trolleybuses – 3.4% of respondents. 49.8% of respondents are not quite by the work of urban transport, and 43% are on the contrary, satisfied. 7.2% of public transport users could not navigate and answer this question. Studies have shown that the metropolitan residents are most satisfied with the work of the subway and most dissatisfied with the work of route taxi. In the matter of the availability of public transport prices, opinions were also divided. 50.6% of respondents believes that transport prices are affordable, and 49.4% believes that they are not available. Speaking about the possibilities of improving public transport, 50.9% of respondents noted an increase in the number of buses, 48.1% – an increase in the number of minibuses, and 22.5% noted the construction of new metro stations.
About 52% of the income from entrepreneurial activity of residents of Yerevan is expressed in the American currency. Such data were presented by the Armenian-European Center for Economic Policy and Legal Consultation (Aeplac), summing up the results of the 500 respondents of a sociological survey. According to the study, about 42% of the income of citizens from entrepreneurial activity is expressed in domestic dramas and about 4% in Russian rubles. As for the main type of income of respondents – salaries – it consists of almost 90% of the domestic currency. Less than 10% of the salary is issued in American dollars and about 2% in euro. The lion’s share of the income of the Yerevaners in the form of a pension, scholarships or benefits also makes up domestic currency. 2% of this income falls on the American dollar and the Russian ruble. According to the study, income in the form of receipt of money transfers from abroad by 82% consist of American currency. About 12% of this income received in European currency and almost 6% in Russian rubles.
