But if you approach the matter wisely, it turns out, you can cope with donkeys, and without any rough use of force or other forms of pressure. To do this, invented a great way to stimulate – carrots suspended for “fishing rod”. She looms before the gaze of a hungry animal. He sees the coveted vegetable and reaches for him with all his four legs, but the carrot remains at the same distance. A poor donkey can strive for her all his life, but never get.
This simple technique is recalled every time some state large players are by hook or by crook in a particular union. The latest experiments with the “reunion” of Ukraine with the European Union are especially indicative. Having suspended the people of the people and the leadership of the non -lace Euromorrovka, the drovers skillfully led the country in the right direction they needed. And then Ukraine everything goes and goes, but there is no European prosperous life and no. On this path, the economy was already ruined, and the country was divided, and the civil war was brewed. Relatives and spouses, brothers and sisters quarreled to death, but nothing good shines ahead.
Naturally, everyone is looking for guilty. Russia is most suitable for this enviable role. Although it is not entirely clear who prevented Ukraine from becoming a European power in 2004, when the president was the “orange” Yushchenko and the prime minister of at least “orange” Tymoshenko. For some reason, it did not work. But then Russia did not interfere.
The habit of many politicians to dump all their failures on others is an indestructible thing. Why there is no gas – Russia does not give. Why corruption flourishes – Russia is preventing it from fighting it. Why there are no reforms – so they said, Russia puts sticks in the wheels. The new Maidan government now with a clear conscience again nods at Russia, which, they say, started a war against freedom -loving Ukraine and does not allow it to become Europe.
Looking at all this was funny at first, then sad, and now it’s even a little scary. The degree of cynicism of politicians holding a “fishing rod” with Euromorrovo goes off scale. They make promises to remove the visa barrier for Ukrainians, then take them back. Either they bring the terms of the complete merger of Ukraine with the Western world, then hint that before that is still very far away, up to several generations. Remove the unfortunate carrot so that it does not loom before the eyes of the hungry and now also freezing Westerners, no one is in a hurry.
So, Euromorrovka led to Georgia and Ukraine to the bloody war and the loss of territories. Next in line Moldova, which threatens the same fate. It is not yet clear what awaits Armenia, which was softly forced to turn away from carrots in time. But she loomed before us for several years. And we even managed to advance “on the way to European integration”. However, at some point, someone’s strong hand deftly replaced her with the Eurasian gingerbread. The difference between them is still small. And the one and the other only loom in front of the eyes, hinting at some distant good and worthy life, which is not shameful for anyone to strive for.
It is surprising with what ease our authorities switched from carrots to gingerbread, but it was done so artistic that the language does not turn to blame them for excessive illegibility and political frivolity. And what is it here? Yesterday we wanted west to the European Union, today we go to the north-east. It’s just that the wind suddenly changed, and our country, in the end, is not some kind of aircraft carrier and not a tanker, but a light sailboat, subject to any whims of weather and subject to geopolitical winds. So don’t blame.
How can you not recall the suffered phrase of the customs officer Vereshchagin from the film “The White Sun of the Desert”: “It is a shame for the state…”. Although we are not a power, I really want to hope that the fateful decisions made by the authorities are based on accurate analysis and calculation, and not under the influence of external pressure. Even if the pressure is friendly.
